Frequently Asked Questions

Can I visit the Premier Grand Cru estates like Margaux, Latour or Petrus?

Wine is your passion, I highly recommend 2 to 3 days in the Bordeaux vineyard to fully explore the wide profile of wines produced in Bordeaux. From the different grapes, style, colors, to the profile of wineries, the family owned estate or the high end worldwide known Château, the experience to be complete may need more than a single day.

Bordeaux city is a jewel too to do not left apart, half day to a full one worth it.

The peak season runs from April to October, when the region enjoys warm, sun-filled days, though each season reveals its own charm. Spring marks the beginning of the growing season, with vineyards in bloom and a sense of fresh energy in the air, while autumn comes alive with harvest celebrations and picturesque colors. Winter brings a quieter pace, offering visitors a more intimate experience, as wineries and vintners have more time to welcome guests and share relaxed, unhurried tastings.

Most wineries offer the convenience of purchasing wines directly on site, with shipping available straight to your home. Alternatively, the city and surrounding vineyards are home to many local wine shops and boutique stores offering the same purchasing and shipping options, with the added advantage of combining selections from different producers in a single order — often the most convenient choice for visitors.

Please be advised that most First Growth (Premier Grand Cru) and equivalent estates are strictly reserved for trade professionals. For those open to the public, it is often requiring reservations several months in advance. While access can be influenced by established relationships with vintners or négociants, these prestigious wines remain accessible for discovery and tasting at specialized wine shop throughout the region.

Visits and tastings to the Châteaux are by appointment only year-round, with demand peaking during the high season. However, should you require a short-notice booking, my local expertise and deep-rooted connections allow me to curate a balanced, high-quality itinerary, ensuring the finest possible experience available.
